Operator- Swings

About the role

Thatcher Company of New York is seeking qualified Manufacturing and Truck Loader Operator on 2nd Shift to work in our Williamson, NY facility. Swing Shift M-F.

Major Accountabilities

• Load and unload tanks, rail cars, tanker trailers, and all other containers
• Operate commercial yard trucks to move trailers around the plant (experience preferred but not required)
• Understand and operate plant equipment and processes
• Regularly lift 50 pounds
• Operate pumps and loading equipment
• Operate forklift

Required Qualifications

• Desire and demonstrated ability to work safely and promote safety/safe work practices
• Be quality conscious
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language well for safety and operations
• Aptitude to follow written and verbal instructions in detail and learn additional skills with experience
• Capacity to work in extreme conditions (temperature) and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant gloves and boots, safety glasses, hard hat, face shield, full-face respirator (if required), and chemical splash suit (overalls and jacket)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, including the use of tools and equipment

Pay

Competitive salary $23-27 per hour.
