Operator - Sign Shop

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain traffic, wayfinding, regulatory, instructional, and identification signage.
• Operate various equipment such as sign machines, wacker machines, power plants, and striping machines.
• Perform routine daily maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Prepare, complete, and maintain assigned tasks and work logs, documenting sign locations, types, measurements, inspections, and work completed.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle and equipment inspections and safety checks before use; clean vehicles and equipment after use and as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Operator II: Three (3) years of experience in a sign shop or similar environment.
• Operator III: Five (5) years of experience in a sign shop or similar environment.
• Operator IV: Seven (7) years of experience in a sign shop or similar environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hand tools, equipment, materials, and procedures required to perform tasks.
• Knowledge of wacker machines for sign installation, power plants for electrical field use, and striping machines.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.
