About the role

As an Operator – MFG Equipment I, you will support manufacturing operations by operating production equipment, handling materials, and ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality requirements. You will work closely with production teams to meet operational goals while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Read and interpret routine work instructions, production documents, and specifications.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations to support manufacturing and inspection activities.
  • Use general hand tools and precision measuring instruments to complete assigned tasks.
  • Handle and move materials safely using approved equipment and methods.
  • Operate material-moving equipment and overhead cranes, or obtain required certifications as needed.
  • Conduct basic equipment checks and report any operational or quality concerns.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Follow Baker Hughes HSE policies, quality standards, and work instructions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing or industrial experience.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret routine instructions and manufacturing documentation.
  • Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to obtain certification to operate material-moving equipment and overhead cranes, if required.

Schedule

This role may require shift work, overtime, and schedule flexibility based on operational requirements. Work Schedule: 4-days-on, 3-days-off rotation, working 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
