Operator Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Utilizing strong attention to detail and multi-tasking, responsible for quality control of product, which includes frequent in-process and final product quality testing.
• Respond to out of control points by either following established action plans for process disruptions or adjusting equipment as appropriate for equipment disruptions.
• Identify and complete preventive maintenance.
• Handle first-line troubleshooting such as equipment malfunctions, computer program issues, setting adjustments; involving appropriate other experts as needed.
• Various other tasks as assigned by supervision are required as a part of the daily routine to maintain safe operation and area standards (i.e. general housekeeping, etc.).
• Works with process / technical group on Management of Changes (MOCs) and projects as well as other work.
• Use computer programs SAP, MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, DuPont e-mail systems and others as deemed appropriate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Crafted journeyman and or associates in electrical, instrument, millwright, etc.
• Teamwork skills
• Troubleshooting skills; ability to think and act quickly
• Communication skills
• Willing and able to climb stairs, lift up to 50lbs, and work from heights
• Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shift, including holidays with 7-day breaks.
