Operate front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials
Start engine, shift gears, press pedals, and turn steering wheel to operate loader
Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader to force bucket into bulk materials
Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, drives vehicle to work site, and moves levers to dump material
Verifies amount of aggregate in storage bins and fills hoppers to ensure adequate quantity and quality of raw materials is maintained
Performs routine maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
Participates in ensuring the quality and quantity of raw materials meets established standards
Ensures assigned performance indicators are met
Works towards improving the assigned plant and surrounding area
Fulfills established procedures to ensure plant compliance with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements
Participates in on-going minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment
Confers with plant superintendent, batch person, and other personnel to resolve problems, provide immediate feedback, and may recommend solutions to improve performance
May haul cement and/or additives from storage area in bulk or bags

Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
Sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
Talking and hearing to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
Able to perform all job functions including, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls

Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
Must wear protective equipment while at the location
