Operator, Kitting

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Contributes to accident-free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
• Assembles pre-formed boxes.
• Creates packages containing correct number of items for kitting packages, including handrails, spindles, printed installation directions, templates and building screws.
• Labels completed boxes.
• Brands and covers completed boxes.
• Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by Supervisor/Management.

Qualifications, Education And/or Experience

• Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, warehouse environment.
• Attention to detail, essential.
• Physical Demands
• Ability to work in an environment that can become cold/hot (temperature) depending on the weather.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time and occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to hold, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
• The employee must individually lift and/or move up to 50lbs, occasionally, infrequently.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• In addition, mobility to cover expansive facility is required.
