Operator - Kitchen Cook (2nd Shift)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Inspect and prep equipment prior to start-up.
  • Fill out material worksheets and production reports for all production in the kitchen.
  • Report any problems (equipment, material shortages, formulas, and employees) to the supervisor as they occur.
  • Report scrap according to procedures.
  • Ensure efficient production.
  • Report total amount of finished product, full and partial cases.
  • Fill out machine time, production report; collect labor reports and material worksheets from kitchen.
  • Record all materials used in the production batch order.
  • All materials will be documented.
  • Fill out batch log sheets for all products that require them.
  • Keep entire work area clean and organized at all times.
  • Fill out inventory ID sheets for all completed pallets, attach to pallets and shrink-wrap.
  • Maintain cleanliness and operation of equipment.
  • Follow all procedures related to job responsibilities.
  • Report to the operator any equipment, quality, formula, and shortage of material problems as they occur.
  • Keep area clean and organized at all times.

General Production Duties

Physical/Environmental Requirements

  • Standing on a concrete floor.
  • Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
  • Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Have a High school diploma, GED and/or equivalent education.
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Show basic math skills, communication skills, computer skills, and problem solving skills.
  • Show the ability to convert measures into weights. Knowledge of linear measurement, Percentages, and Ratios.
  • Show the ability to communicate in English and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Show mechanical skills to troubleshoot and or make adjustments as necessary to ensure a quality product.
  • Show the ability to stand on a concrete floor for long period.
  • Show the ability to bend, stoop, twist, turn, stand for extended period, reach and lift up to 53 lbs.
  • Show willingness to work extra hours on weekdays and weekends.
  • Show computer literacy.
