Operator - IPM Warehouse

About the role

This position supports the manufacturing needs of Lilly's sites, both domestically and internationally, by managing the receiving, storage, and shipping of raw materials and packaging components.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment, leading safety initiatives, and working safely.
• Execute cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Timely execution of inventory transactions.
• Ensure inventory levels for the local warehouse are appropriate.
• Provide raw materials and components to customers on time and in full.
• Monitor and remove slow-moving inventory.
• Avoid manufacturing downtime due to material shortages.
• Maintain a learning plan at 100% current.
• Follow and execute policies and procedures impacting warehouse activities.
• Maintain a clean and presentable warehouse.
• Zero items on the Quality backlog.
• Participate on the Warehouse Safety Team.
• Drive and own safety improvements for the Warehouse.
• Report near misses and unsafe work conditions or behaviors.

Requirements

• Powered Industrial Truck License (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of quality and corporate policies.
• Understanding of regulatory agencies like FDA, EMEA, OSHA, and EPAD.
• Demonstrated solid judgment and initiative.
• Enthusiastic, positive attitude, flexible, and willing to work overtime.
• Proactive and self-motivated to support team initiatives and solve business problems.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to lift and move 40-pound containers.
• Experience with materials handling and inventory management systems.
• Previous warehouse/logistics experience in a GMP environment.
