Operator III in Training

About the role

Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Know and monitor the process flow in your area.
• Understand, troubleshoot, and control the process in your area using Honeywell computer systems.
• Operate the equipment in your area.
• Adhere to Safety Policies, Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and the Product Safety Manual.
• Perform necessary analytical tests and mathematical computations to support duties.
• Communicate with supervision and other workers to ensure proper flow of information.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area that supports sanitation guidelines.

Fitness Requirements

• Lift materials up to 50 pounds.
• Lift material up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Push, pull, or adjust equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Use hands to twist, grip, and turn repetitively.
• Climb in and out of forklifts.
• Climb ladders up to 60 feet high.
• Climb stairs up to 12 flights.
• Work in a sitting position.
• Type using a keyboard up to 8 hours a day.

Schedule

Work a 12-hour rotating shift.
