Operator position focused on injection molding and packaging operations.
Responsibilities
- Visually monitor the molding process to ensure proper procedure.
- Remove molded parts from injection molding machines and perform gross defect inspections on parts and packaging to ensure they meet specifications.
- Lift and carry totes and boxes, pack finished product in boxes by weight or count, and affix correct shipping labels.
- Verify line clearances and applicable documentation at assigned machine.
- Change materials at the machine (e.g., bags, daily supplies) and stock materials.
- Work with the Shift Supervisor to ensure safe and efficient production.
- Read, comprehend, and maintain operating policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (FDA, OSHA, and other agencies).
- Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, instructions, and written procedures.
- Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
- Use tools and equipment including scales, tape guns, hand trucks, digital calipers, digital micrometers, and basic measurement devices.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned based on company and department needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or training role in a similar industry/environment.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices, Work Instructions, and Product Specifications.
- Ability to lift bags up to 5 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficiency with computers, including SAP, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
Pay
The hourly pay range for this role is $17.12 - $30.82. Factors influencing the actual offered rate include qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity.
