First Shift (Days)
Environmental Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
- Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair, etc. allowed
- Fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold)
- Loud noises (equipment/machinery)
- No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided
- Some degree of PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
- Standing for full shift
What will you do?
- Follow all written procedures
- Report discrepancies in procedures (SOPs, DHRs, etc.) to the Area Supervisor
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
- Refer to job specific Job Safety Analysis
- Perform all work activities in a safe manner
- Maintain a safe and clutter free work area
- Clean up all spills immediately
- Listen to, follow and relay written and verbal instructions in English
- Report property damage and/or safety hazards to the Supervisor, Human Resources, Safety Specialist or Senior Management immediately
- Document accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance
- Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery
- Perform simple maintenance and report malfunctioning equipment immediately to Supervisor or Lead
- Continuously monitor product for defects
- Make necessary adjustments to machinery
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including all assigned equipment
- Accurately dispense required additives to media and properly perform technique of getting pH balance as needed
- Read, understand, and complete required documentation accurately and neatly in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Set up and adjust machine to run a variety of sizes and types using tools to adjust machine
- Help maintain quality assurance on your position at all times
- Help improve the production process by actively engaging in making suggestions for improvement
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
1+ years' experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment; aseptic experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to lift product up to 50lbs
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
- Understand and perform basic math
