About the Role

This position works out of our Minnetonka location in the Electrophysiology (EP) division. The role involves performing a combination of assembly, weld, x-ray, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, electronic systems, and related medical device assemblies under general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date.
• Apply troubleshooting skills and interpersonal skills such as conflict resolution, active participation, active listening, interpreting, cooperation, and flexibility to support a successful self-managed team.
• Clearly communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management in both written and oral form.
• Positively represent the company during tours by demonstrating techniques and sharing appropriate information.
• Support and uphold the company’s policies and procedures.
• Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers, such as during tours.
• Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes and achieve quality and profitability metrics.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on applicable equipment to maximize efficiency, minimize accidents, and enhance the longevity of equipment and tools.
• Maintain accurate records to ensure traveler and quality documents are precise, all parts are traceable, and quality issues can be addressed.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Participate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager in setting and monitoring individual goals and cell performance metrics to improve operational quality.
• Support all divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management in alignment with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a medical or other regulated production environment.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
• Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance.
• Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
• Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical device, manufacturing, or assembly experience.

Pay

The base pay for this position is $15.55 – $31.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.

Schedule

Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM with potential overtime.
