About the role

As a Production Operator, you will be part of the Winslow Operations team responsible for preparing, executing, and managing the cleaning/turnover of production processes in poultry vaccine production. In this role, you will ensure that all technical tasks are performed with precision and in strict accordance with internal and external quality guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Aseptic Processing & Technical Execution: Execute core production functions including egg handling (receipt, disinfection, transferring), tissue culture processes (candling, inoculation, harvest), and filling operations (emulsification, liquid filling, lyophilization).
  • Facility & Equipment Sterilization: Maintain a sterile production environment by washing, wrapping, and sterilizing glassware and equipment. Responsible for the loading/unloading of autoclaves and the rigorous disinfection of room surfaces and machinery.
  • Compliance & Concurrent Documentation: Perform all duties according to established SOPs, production records, and company safety procedures. Accurately complete all documentation concurrently with production tasks to maintain procedural conformance.
  • Resource & Material Management: Ensure the availability of necessary materials, including chemicals and consumables. Utilize electronic systems (such as SAP) to stage materials and track inventory levels for production runs.
  • Operational Excellence & Teamwork: Perform routine, repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy and limited supervision. Actively participate in team activities, following written and oral instructions to meet production timelines and escalate non-compliances or equipment failures.

Minimum qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliability: Ability to maintain procedural conformance during all production hours, including required weekday and weekend operations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Capability to perform routine tasks with moderate supervision while adhering to strict biosecurity and safety protocols.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds) and work in environments requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and exposure to potential allergens.

Preferred qualifications

  • Education: Associate's Degree in a scientific field (Biology or Microbiology preferred).
  • Specialized Experience: Previous exposure to aseptic techniques, laboratory sciences, or vaccine manufacturing environments.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong scientific aptitude with an eagerness to learn complex biological processes.
  • Precision: High speed and accuracy regarding fine hand manipulation and excellent eye-hand coordination.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
