About the role
A day in the Life:
- Work within a manufacturing environment both individually and within a team to ensure customers receive a product that exceeds quality specifications.
- Communicate with several work groups to ensure the completion of daily production.
- Work in both standard and clean room environments while adhering to area-specific PPE requirements.
- Safely operate manual and automated filling equipment.
- Safely operate pallet jacks.
- Handle and process materials that are in temperature sensitive conditions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Satisfactorily complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements on time and operate within all ISO, GMP, and FDA standards pertaining to Frederick Site Manufacturing Operations.
- May be required to perform as a work-order lead.
- May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Environmental Conditions
- Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards.
- Cold Room/Freezers -22°F/-6°C.
- Laboratory Setting.
- Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery).
- Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.).
- Will work with hazardous/toxic materials.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in an FDA regulated environment or equivalent (preferred).
Skills
- Ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures, instructions, and to meet production schedules.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the metric system, and ability to perform conversions.

Pay
The hourly pay range estimated for this position (Operator II, Manufacturing) based in Maryland is $16.78–$25.17. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
Schedule
Second Shift (Afternoons).
