Operator I - Machine Night Shift 8pm-8am $23.00/hr + $1.00/hr. Shift Differential

Who we are looking for

• Run all aspects of the PVC extrusion lines ensuring that product meets all applicable internal and external specifications.
• Understand and master the computerized systems associated with the extrusion, control, and printing technologies.
• Test and measure product to ensure pipe products are made in conformance with required specifications.
• Perform inspections of proper print, wall, O.D., length, appearance, and bell fit on all lines.
• Identify quality issues.
• Complete Quality Control forms accurately and correctly.
• Monitor pipe physicals.

What you'll bring

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
• Extrusion experience or the ability to quickly learn Atkore's PVC extrusion operation and change over procedures.
• Able to read micrometer and O.D. tape.
• Able to change print lines.

Within 3 months, you'll

• Repair red tag products.
• Confirm product with schedule.
• Complete operator paperwork (Operator sheets, regrind log, forklift check sheet).
• Cut crate boards to proper lengths.
• Process regrind.
• Package finished pipe in proper crate quantities.
• Weigh and transport finished product.

Pay

$23.00 / Hour + $1.00/hr. Shift Differential (Night Shift 8:00pm - 8:00am). As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $23/hour. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
