About the role
The City of Solon Water Reclamation Department is accepting applications for a Wastewater Operator (I, II, III).
Responsibilities
- Performing a wide variety of duties to monitor the physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics of wastewater.
- Performing a variety of tasks in controlling the daily operations of the wastewater treatment facility.
- Operating large trucks, forklifts, pumps, conveyors, blowers, belt filter presses and other equipment utilized in the treatment of wastewater.
- Maintaining buildings and grounds.
Requirements
- At least one (1) year of related work experience.
- The ability to complete Confined Space Entry training and duties within 6 months of hire.
- Applicants may also be required to participate in vocational or apprenticeship training in related skilled trades.
Qualifications
- A high school degree or a GED equivalency certificate.
