About the role
The Operator is responsible for operating equipment in a safe and appropriate manner and to run product within approved specifications and quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform Inspection and understand customer quality standards
- Perform Packaging
- Auxiliary Production Line Setup Process
- Auxiliary Production Line Operation
- Operate Production Line Wind-Up section
- Operate Production Line Let-Off section
- Operate lifting devices and overhead hoist
- Operate production lines under observation/direction
- Auxiliary operations as required
- Use the ERP (Enterprise resource planning) System and labeling programs as required in the execution of their job duties
- Use SFI (Shop Floor Interface) to report production and consumption of raw materials
- Use Quality Issue Tracking System as required in the execution of their job duties
- Maintain housekeeping and 6S Standards
- Properly dispose of hazardous materials
- Follow company rules and regulations
- Work safely
- Ensure all work is to be performed in accordance with the Responsible Care EMS - Environmental Management System (ISO 14001)
- Intervene and take appropriate actions on any non-conformance, possible nonconformance, or concerns affecting 1) compliance with any known legal, regulatory or company requirement, 2) Safety, Health, Environment & Security (HSE&S) policies, procedures, or other management system requirements, and/or 3) expectations or needs of other interested parties, and communicate it using the appropriate company process
- Promote an observable culture of process safety, product safety/stewardship and customer service within their organizational control
- Communicate and follow up as required on any HSE&S concerns, incidents, near misses, or opportunities for improvement using the appropriate company process
- When requested, lead, participate and/or provide resources for Employee Safety Committee (ASC), Safety Meetings, Incident/Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations, Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Startup Review (PSSR), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and other related HSE&S, process safety, and customer service activities
- Must follow all MSOP & Plant Safety Rules
- Use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
- Able to take verbal directions
- Understand written procedures
- Understand Physical and Quality Requirements
- Able to read, write and speak English
- Able to read and follow Standard Operating Conditions (S.O.C.), Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.), etc.
- Handles and manages hazardous waste
- Must take initial hazardous waste training, and annual refresher training
- Complete all required Training: Departmental Safety-Department’s reading requirements
- Department Task Training captured on 7 – Step Training Plan
- On the job training working with a seasoned operator for the department

Benefits
Competitive salary and benefits package. The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $26.21 per hour. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
