Operator I (Assistant Operator)
Responsibilities
- Possess and demonstrate developing leadership qualities.
- Use leadership skills to direct press crews in the efficient operation of the company’s machines.
- Read and understand all information on job ticket pertaining to a specific job.
- Ensures that all necessary components to produce the job are present.
- Does not move forward on any job with conflicting information.
- Understand and adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Set up and operate all special functions and capabilities with minimal supervision or direction.
- Train other employees when requested or required to do so.
- Analyze issues, determine, and implement solutions.
- Provide innovative / creative solutions for opportunities and/or improvements.

Physical Characteristics
- Frequent standing, stooping
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs.)
- Occasional typing/keyboarding
Education And Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis's total compensation package. The hourly base pay range for this role is estimated to be $22 to $26.
