Operator I- 2nd Shift

About the Role

A successful Operator I will have a strong dedication to safety and quality. Attention to detail is critical to ensuring the highest care is taken with plant equipment and processes. The ability to understand and follow work instructions while maintaining the 6S and key metrics in the department will help drive the success of the manufacturing process. The position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Ability to safely operate light manufacturing equipment and follow work instructions during Milwaukee Tool Accessories production.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and plant to Milwaukee 6S standards.
• Accurately record production data.
• Work to ensure equipment exceeds performance metrics.
• Ensure timely job changeovers.
• Coordinate with Department Leads to fulfill Work Orders.

Requirements

• High School degree or GED.
• 1-2 years of experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous stamping, deburring, spot welding, experience with automation, or chemical safety experience is a plus.

Skills & Qualifications

• Mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proven mechanical ability or aptitude.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with correct PPE wear and safety policies.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• The employee may be required to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Occasional bending, crouching, twisting, reaching.
• Employees may be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain work cells.
