Operator / Crib - 1st shift

About the Role

Bosch Charleston is part of a global network with close to 400,000 associates who create products "Invented for Life." This role supports day-to-day Crib (machine spare parts warehouse) operations while adhering to Bosch’s standards and procedures, emphasizing associate involvement, teamwork, and precision.

Responsibilities

• Collect and issue spare part orders as received, including using PIT equipment
• Stock incoming material in designated locations
• Perform inventory audits as required
• Follow deviation management processes
• Maintain 5S standards in the crib
• Ensure KPIs are met
• Adhere to plant safety and environmental policies
• Escalate concerns for material, technical, and quality issues
• Support additional crib tasks, including the receiving process

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (some college preferred)
• Must be at least 18 years or older
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Able to function in a noisy and fast-paced environment
• Demonstrates self-initiative and attention to detail

Skills

• Deep understanding of Bosch’s 5S principles
• General SAP knowledge (experience with work orders, reservations, and issuing spare parts is a plus)
• PIT (forklift/Drexel) knowledge is a plus
• Experience with Bosch direct/indirect material processes is a plus
