Operator Blending/Loading Lead

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Reviews paperwork to insure compliance with company, governmental rules and regulations
• Samples all inbound rail cars, trucks and trailers
• Prepares the sample and submits for lab analysis
• Prepares paperwork receipts for filing and processing
• Unloads rail cars, trucks and trailers into the used oil receiving tanks
• Supervises other Blending & Unloading Operators, distributes workloads
• Performs general housekeeping of the facility
• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

• 2-3 years loading/unloading and chemical blending experience preferred
• 3+ years supervisory, Lead, or Foreman experience in a production environment preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to work in hot and cold weather conditions
• Basic computer knowledge
• Works well in a team environment

Pay, Schedule, and Testing Requirements

This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Pay, schedule, and testing requirements are governed by the union contract. Work Schedule (per CBA): Monday-Friday; 6AM-2PM Hourly Wage Range (per CBA): $21-$27/HR

About the Role

Safety-Kleen Systems, in Metairie, LA, is looking for a Blending & Loading Operator Lead to join their safety conscious team! This leader will be responsible for receiving, sampling and unloading all inbound bulk shipments of used oil by rail, and truck as well as overseeing other Blending & Unloading Operators. This individual will work within all local, state, and federal rules and regulations; and follow all Safety-Kleen policies and procedures.
