Operator B Carpet Cushion - Accumulator 3rd Shift

About the role

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for an Operator B/Accumulator (machine operator) on our 3rd shift team at our manufacturing plant in Temple, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation of specialized manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality components and finished carpet cushion products for internal and external customers, following a daily production schedule. Initial 4–6-week training on 1st shift while the full team is onboarded.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Accumulator machine to cut foam slabs into usable components based on production schedule and customer specifications
• Monitor equipment closely to keep machinery downtime to a minimum
• Conduct quality checks to ensure all wrapped rolls meet length and thickness specifications
• Rework any defective or damaged rolls
• Communicate with management to ensure cut blocks are labeled properly
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment

Requirements

• Ability to lift carpet cushion rolls weighing between 35 to 90 lbs.
• Ability to read a basic tape measure
• Ability to read, write, and completely understand the English labeling process
• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions

Schedule

3rd shift position. Initial 4–6-week training period on 1st shift.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
