Pouch Room Operator - 3rd Shift
About the role
The role involves operating multiple pouch machines safely and efficiently, performing quality control audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Starts up, operates, and shuts down pouch forming, cooling, sealing, straw strip placement, coding, and conveying systems of the pouch machine.
- Makes packaging roll changes as needed.
- Optimizes equipment uptime; monitors mechanical operation of equipment and unjams machines.
- Helps troubleshoot mechanical problems and notifies technician of issues.
- Supervises quality issues, performs and records checks on pouch visual points of quality.
- Performs and records checks on seal alignment.
- Ensures adequate quantities of accurate rotated foil stock (FIFO) are available and tested.
- Completes all required audits.
- Documents pouches material losses, downtime, and production totals; palletizes finished boxes of pouches.
- Maintains good housekeeping.
- Ensures “Area of Responsibility” is clean and orderly.
- Maintains room as a tour ready status.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Ensures compliance with QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.
