Operator

Responsibilities

• Makes observations on pressure, temperature and relative humidity measurements.
• Turns valves and adjusts controls to ensure safe operation.
• Monitors sterilizers and auxiliary units for malfunctions.
• Aids in repairs as necessary.
• Documents and records process readings.
• Reports damaged product to supervisor.
• Reports system problems to maintenance staff.
• Performs daily and weekly equipment maintenance.
• Assists with other tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in a sterilization environment preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Willingness to work established shifts.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions over a period of time.
• Forklift driving experience desired.
• Basic computer skills desired.
