About the Role
The MRF Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the heavy equipment at the facility. Reports to Site Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre and post trip inspection of the equipment per company standards to ensure fluid levels are at proper levels and safety devices are functioning properly.
- Continuously monitor the performance of the equipment and report any repairs needed to the maintenance department.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Keep machine and cab clean.
- Monitor materials coming in and report all unacceptable waste to management.
- Maximize truck load weights per DOT regulations.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.
Physical Demands / Environmental Factors
- Equipment operator position requires the operation of equipment with open and closed cabs.
- Required to work indoors and outdoors and will be exposed to weather extremes and dusty conditions.
- Required to work within close proximity to customers and will be exposed to busy traffic patterns.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Occasionally stand and walk.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay
$18-20 per hour.
