Operator Assistant II - Logging & Perforating
About the role
We are seeking an Operator Assistant II to assist with rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and downhole well logging equipment on work locations. This role involves assisting in the operation of well logging equipment, assembling downhole well logging tools, maintaining and cleaning equipment, and performing pre and post-job inspections.
Responsibilities
- Assists during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down-hole well logging equipment including electric, nuclear, sonic, other well logging tools, and pressure control equipment.
- Operates well logging equipment at job sites.
- Assembles down hole well logging tools (electric, nuclear, sonic, and other well logging tools).
- Maintains, cleans, and performs preventative maintenance on down-hole and surface well logging equipment.
- Performs pre and post job vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-6 months of experience as an Operator Assistant I-L&P or 1 year of related work experience in oil field service (rig operations).
- Class A CDL permit preferred prior to start date.
- Must be able to obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days after start date. Halliburton will enroll employee into a class to obtain a CDL.
- Manual transmission experience preferred.
- Successful completion of Well Control Accreditation Program may be required.
- The ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.
- The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
- Knowledgeable of basic HMS and HSE standards, and guidelines for PSL personnel.
Qualifications
- Work Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.
- Must be knowledgeable of basic HMS and HSE standards, and guidelines for PSL personnel. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
- Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
- Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes.
Benefits
Our comprehensive benefits package includes a sign-on bonus and a stipend for those based out of Williston, ND. The position offers a 2 weeks on 1 week off schedule with $45/day per diem or paid living accommodations during scheduled working time. Employees are responsible for their own travel to and from Williston, ND for their work rotation as well as their own transportation to and from the Halliburton facility for the work day.
Pay
Potential Annual Earnings: $95,000/yearly
Average annual earnings is an estimation dependent on hours worked per week, overtime hours worked, product service line, location, and position.
Schedule
2 weeks on 1 week off schedule
Halliburton reserves the right to adjust schedules based on industry needs.
