Operator - 2nd Shift
Position Summary
The Operator is responsible for safely operating multiple pieces of equipment on a liquid filling production line. This role supports production through equipment setup and changeovers, preventive maintenance, quality verification, accurate documentation, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives. The Operator plays a key role in ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Understand and speak to production flow, processes, and metrics.
- Set up, change over, and monitor equipment.
- Involves in preventive maintenance (PMs) for assigned equipment.
- Ensure the line is adequately supplied to meet production KPI's (Key Performance Indicators).
- Maintain work areas and tools according to Visual Management (identifying abnormalities) and 5S Standards.
- Maintain all required records.
- Participate with safety, cost, quality, and productivity improvement teams.
- Understand safety requirements (Job Safety Analysis, lock-out/tag-out, pinch points, PPE).
- Understand and conduct quality checks via measuring techniques/standards.
- Able to follow written/visual instructions including Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Work.
- Able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and verbalize equipment issues to the line lead and/or maintenance.
- Lean Manufacturing - assist in the continuous improvement culture and seek opportunities to eliminate waste.
- Occasional training of other colleagues.
- Other duties as assigned due to business needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED OR 0–2 years of manufacturing or mechanical experience.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including use of two-way radios.
- Able to follow, apply, and improve standard work procedures.
- Problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Basic computer skills for production reporting and machine monitoring.
- TPM/Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- SAP experience is strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs; push and pull up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, stretching, twisting, climbing, pulling, pushing, and lifting.
- Ability to safely work around moving machinery and production equipment.

Pay
The pay rate for this position is up to USD $22.10/Hr. per hour. Please note that the pay rate provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
