Responsibilities
- Maintain safety standards by using LOTO and confined space entry procedures.
- Load production materials into the primary piece of equipment, meeting corporate quality and safety standards.
- Aid in product changeovers on a primary piece of equipment.
- Communicate effectively with the team to prevent downtime and quality issues.
- Operate equipment during breaks and lunches as needed.
- Comply with Mars Petcare Quality and Food Safety Practices, GMPs, and other Food Safety and Regulatory Standards.
- Document quality attributes and provide production data for shift reports.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Quick response capability.
- Standing for long periods on hard surfaces.
- Computer/IPad literacy with data entry, recording, maintenance, and retrieval abilities.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of production processes, GMPs, and Food Safety and Regulatory Standards.
- General understanding of Start Up, Operation, Shut Down, & Cleaning equipment.
- Ability to assist and troubleshoot equipment.
- Ability to perform quality checks and document results using a database collection system.
- Experience in food manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Nexus, MSDS database, Near Miss Reporting, and Adams Bradley Systems or similar displays.
