About The Role
We are seeking an Operator, Bakery-Ingredient Prep to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. In this role, you will support the Lead Mixer by accurately scaling, preparing, and mixing ingredients according to recipe specifications, ensuring consistent dough quality, food safety, and compliance with Aspire Bakeries’ high product standards.

- Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Weekend Availability: Required
Pay
Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $21.25
Responsibilities
- Prepare, scale, and mix ingredients accurately according to approved recipes, time, and temperature specifications.
- Monitor dough consistency, texture, and temperature to ensure targeted product characteristics.
- Control ingredient usage, inventory accuracy, and lot traceability per pick lists and specifications.
- Operate within Rheon Line capacity limits to support efficient downstream processing.
- Document mixing data accurately and complete required production and inventory records (MOVEX).
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized mixing, ingredient, and cooler areas.
- Support food safety, quality, legality, and security by reporting potential contamination or suspicious activity immediately.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a food manufacturing or production environment, or transferable production skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and written procedures precisely.
- Ability to lift and dump up to 50 lbs. repeatedly for short periods.
- Basic computer or data entry skills for production documentation.
- Ability to work safely while following GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for 1st shift operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bakery or dough-mixing experience.
- Experience working with automated mixing or Rheon Line systems.
- Familiarity with ingredient inventory control and lot tracking.
- Experience maintaining temperature-controlled ingredients and dough processes.
- Participation in quality improvement or continuous improvement initiatives.
