Summary Of Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Reports directly to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for completing all duties and tasks assigned to them before their normal work shift ends. Signs off on safety commitments. Personal Protective Equipment Required Obey GMP’s and PPE’s for production areas.
- Safely operates and maintains production equipment.
- Keeps accurate records of carton/film usage, downtime, and jam-ups.
- Cleans and loads machines in a timely manner.
- Communicates new codes to packers and inspectors.
- Notifies mechanics of machine problems.
- Unloads and cleans machines at the end of shifts.
- Maintains glue pots, ink bottles, or ink pads.
- Makes sure packers receive a pouch of the new code.
- Monitors line processing and completes required paperwork.
- May work on an alternative work week schedule (12-hour shift).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree).
- Basic math skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to lift 60-75 lbs.
- Training requirements located in the Training Register.

The employee regularly walks, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reaches with hands and arms; climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; talks or hears; tastes or smells; and adjusts focus. The employee frequently stands. Specific vision abilities required include the ability to adjust focus.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, potential exposure to sulphuric acid (electric battery), potential exposure to carbon monoxide from propane fueled forklift, and noise levels in the work environment are usually loud.
