About the Role

As an LNG Operations Technician I, you will perform a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, ensuring compliance with technical standards and governmental requirements under direct oversight. You’ll handle moderate to highly sophisticated technical assignments with direct supervision and work towards becoming qualified as an Outside Operator for the liquefaction and vaporization systems.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, ensuring compliance with technical standards and governmental requirements under direct oversight
  • Carries out moderate to highly sophisticated technical assignments with direct supervision
  • Works towards becoming qualified as an Outside Operator for the liquefaction and vaporization systems
  • Trains to become a qualified Operator for holding mode, including operating the boil-off compressors and other necessary plant equipment
  • Completes and passes all required initial LNG training, Life Criticals, Williams SSE Program, and Williams Essentials
  • Follows and complies with operation, maintenance, security, and emergency procedures
  • Reads and interprets drawings, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs, and maintains accurate records by completing assigned reports and logs
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Associates or 2-year technical degree and technical licenses/certificates (preferred)
  • Valid Driver’s License from the state in which you live and a clear driving record
  • Must be able to pass an LNG pre-employment physical as required by federal law
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills
  • Must stay apprised of and abide by all company policies

Physical and Environmental Work Requirements

  • Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises, and in enclosed spaces
  • Carry and lift items that weigh a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Use hand tools

Schedule

  • Must be able to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts, and holidays as needed
  • May be required to work overtime, 10–12-hour shifts, extended hours, and travel between company locations with occasional overnight stays
