Operations Technician - Early shift 1

About the role

Join EMD Electronics as an Operations Technician in Carlsbad, CA. You’ll be part of the Chemical Manufacturing team responsible for receiving, decontaminating, rebuilding, and filling vessels with ultra-pure chemistries.

This role does not offer sponsorship for work authorization. External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Manual and automated vessel decontamination
• Chemical packaging (filling with chemical)
• Perform hazardous waste consolidation
• Acid wash stainless steel and quartz vessels
• Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing environment
• Assist with unloading trucks and receiving as required
• Assist the Engineering team with troubleshooting system issues
• Use drawings and instructions to assemble vessels
• Perform data entry
• Inspect vessels and documentation for correctness and completeness

Physical attributes of the role include wearing a full-face air-purifying respirator and other PPE, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 6+ months in a role requiring quality and safety
• 6+ months experience using Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Previous experience handling chemicals
• Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets and written work instructions
• A strong focus on quality and safety
• Experience using Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint
• Experience using SAP and LIMS systems
• Ability to use hand tools

Pay

Pay range for this position is $25/hr – $40/hr. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses.

• Tuesday – Friday: 5:00am – 1:30pm
• Saturdays: 5:00am – 5:00pm
