Essential Duties
- Responsible for managing a sampling program patterned to the specified accounts.
- Consult with the client regarding strategies and solutions that will meet their business needs and will improve their ability to generate business.
- Attend review meetings with Customer Stakeholders as needed.
- Attend regularly scheduled Reliability Review Meetings with onsite Reliability team.
- Train onsite client personnel as needed to perform sampling and technical service duties.
- Communicate product and service opportunities, information or feedback gathered through client activity to appropriate internal resources, including relevant business issues and industry information for utilization in development of market specific action plans and sales strategy.
- Obtain any necessary Certifications or Safety protocols, as directed, to perform the ongoing duties of a Field Service Consultant.
- Obtain any Site-Specific Safety or Technical Certification required by the specific designated accounts.
- Specialized storage and dispensing equipment recommendations.
- Planned customer oil sampling and co-communication.
- Customer and lube operations product contamination investigations, root cause, and corrections.
- Lubricant’s business plan and sales assistance.
- Electric Motor Greasing and Lubrication Route
- Preform oil changes in refinery as assigned and communicate results
- Preform Visual inspection routes as assigned and communicate results and action taken
Physical and Environmental Conditions
- The position is located in an outdoors environment frequent encounters dirt and dust, noise and vibration, fumes and odors and wetness/humidity.
- May be frequently exposed to mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.
- This position may require travel via vehicle and airplane.
- Employee may be required to sit for long periods of time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position.
- Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- This position does not generally require long hours and weekend work, but it may be necessary on occasion.
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 10%.
Minimum Education, Experience and Certification
- MLT-1 Certification
- Three (3) years of mechanical experience (automotive, industrial machinery, valves, pumps)
- Three (3) years of experience with fuel and lube pumps, nozzles, & fittings
- Ability to obtain a TWIC Card
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must possess effective written and oral communication skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving techniques and skills
- Establishes and follows procedures and protocols; maintains consistency in work process
- Experience with pumps and strong mechanical and technical abilities a plus
