About the role

Operations Technicians provide assembly, testing, and facility support for all Operations efforts. This role involves testing and calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications, following instructions and pre-established guidelines under immediate supervision while exercising some independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Sorting incoming inventory of used medical instruments and devices
  • Reprocessing and testing of medical instruments and devices
  • Assisting in the identification of improvements in assembly, work instructions, and testing processes
  • Performing a variety of complicated technical and non-technical tasks
  • Picking and packing reprocessed medical instruments and devices
  • Upholding the company’s quality policies
  • Producing an acceptable volume of work within a reasonable timeframe
  • Providing technical guidance and assistance upon request
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a typical manufacturing/Operations environment
  • Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs

Work Environment

This job operates in a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be frequently exposed to odors, fumes, dust, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

The physical demands include regular talking or hearing, frequent standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms.
