Operations Tech, Evenings (part-time)

About the role

The individual in this position supports the Campus Operations Division in maintaining campus facilities in a safe and clean condition. They assist with event setup and breakdown, provide operations support, and engage in diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism work.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning tasks to maintain campus cleanliness and safety.
• Supports event setup and breakdown, including furniture relocation and setup, placement of linen, equipment, and other event items, and event breakdown.
• Fulfills other operations service requests as assigned.
• Responds to emergency cleaning situations, including working additional hours or alternate work schedules.
• Assists with vehicle cleaning and provides additional operations support as needed.
• Makes recommendations to improve operations.
• Engages in diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism work.

Requirements

• Cleaning skills in a commercial and/or educational setting.
• Ability to read and write legibly in English; basic math skills for handling cleaning products.
• Basic technology skills (emailing, operating a computer, entering data).
• Experience lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, operating cleaning equipment, tools, and vehicles, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and performing repetitive motions.
• Ability to climb on a stepstool or ladder.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Independence in completing tasks without close supervision.
• Collaboration with employees, parents, and members of the Cary Academy and external community.
• Professionalism in maintaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.
• Valid driver's license meeting Cary Academy vehicle operating standards.
