Operations Team Lead 1

About the role

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Distribution Operations Team Lead to serve as the primary liaison between internal and external operations partners. This role ensures the efficient movement of materials, inventory accuracy, and compliance with shipping and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot operational challenges.
• Coordinate with internal departments.
• Support training and process improvements.
• Operate warehouse equipment as needed.
• Lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
• Work in warehouse environments with variable temperatures and potential exposure to chemicals.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, and chemical‑resistant gear.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics environment.
• Must be eligible to work in the US; no sponsorship offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of ERP and WMS systems, such as Oracle and SAP.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and hazardous material handling.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems, scanning technology, and shipping equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Detail‑oriented.
• Inventory control knowledge.
• Knowledge of International and Customs paperwork.
