Operations Support Specialist (contract)
Location: Portage, MI • Duration: 14 weeks, 4 days per week • Work Engagement: W2 • Work Schedule: Onsite
About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Support Specialist to provide administrative and operational support in a fast-paced business environment. This role is responsible for accurate data entry, record maintenance, document management, and supporting daily operational processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely data entry into internal systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Review, verify, update, and maintain information to ensure data integrity and completeness.
- Support daily operational workflows and administrative activities.
- Prioritize incoming tasks and manage workload to meet deadlines and business needs.
- Maintain organized records, files, and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve questions, discrepancies, and data-related issues.
- Follow all confidentiality, compliance, and company policies when handling sensitive information.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and other operational support tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
- Minimum 6 months of experience in data entry, operations support, administrative support, or a related role.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
- Comfortable working with databases, data entry systems, and other business applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required.

- Experience working in a fast-paced operational or administrative environment.
- Knowledge of data quality standards and accuracy verification processes.
- Understanding of confidentiality, compliance, and record retention requirements.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
