About the Role

The Operations/Supply Chain (OSC) Finance Organization is seeking a P3 Principal Financial Analyst to support the Naval Shipboard Mission Area, specifically the SM3/ESSM portfolio. The candidate will work on a team of Material and Operations Analysts, executing all aspects of production finance processes (EACs, EVMS, etc.). The ideal candidate will help construct and execute change management protocols, generate value through critical analysis, and provide guidance and insights to executing organizations. They will prioritize and allocate resources in a dynamic, geographically dispersed, and deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of operations analysis while infusing expertise and best practices into the organization.
  • Conduct side-by-side analysis with working teams to drive analytical capability growth and functional ownership accountability.
  • Build business relationships and trust with all stakeholders, prioritizing rapport and effective communication.
  • Understand program drivers, identify trends or drifts, and consolidate information to recommend and execute solutions to challenges.
  • Serve as a critical business partner, providing insight and guidance to Mission Areas and Business Unit Leadership.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse, or similar systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and leadership.
  • Understanding of material EACs cradle-to-grave (Gate 3 – Gate 11).
  • Ability to absorb performance indicators and create consolidated executive presentations.
  • Knowledge of varying lifecycle program controls.
  • Strong experience with Excel and other business analytical tools.
  • Experience with financial evaluations of program performance.
  • Strong understanding of company command media, disclosures, and GAAP.
  • Understanding of operations/material systems and processes.
  • Ability to serve as a subject matter resource and execute analysis side-by-side with team members.
  • Ability to convey business acumen to stakeholders without financial backgrounds.
  • Comfort taking on dynamic environments and new challenges.
  • Clear, succinct, and polished written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in PRISM and Business Warehouse.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The range provided is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
