Operations Supervisor Weekend
About the role
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team handling product safely, efficiently, and effectively. They ensure a safe working environment and build a culture of safety. They monitor production volume, assign/reassign tasks, resolve issues, and communicate business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Ensures associates comprehend and execute safe work practices
- Resolves safety issues within the department
- Aids associates with HR-related issues
- Communicates clear expectations and provides feedback
- Maintains and manages associate performance
- Determines daily workload and monitors inventory movements
- Monitors staffing needs and adjusts work according to available resources
- Conducts shift briefings and expedites product handling
- Completes incident reports and implements process improvements
- Mentors and builds relationships with associates
- Holds associates accountable to expected behaviors and performance levels
- Communicates with associates about business objectives and current issues
- Provides coaching and developmental opportunities
- Manages off-standard hours and approves requests
- Interviews and assists with hiring
- Supports associates during transitions and change
- Addresses and resolves incidents or injuries
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred skills include experience building a culture of safety, leadership experience, mentoring/coaching, and previous leadership roles in Lowe’s supply chain facilities or corporate initiatives.

Pay and Schedule
