Operations Supervisor - Roll Off

Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient and compliant waste collection, disposal, and recycling operations
- Allocate resources (people and equipment) to meet customer needs
- Review and resolve customer complaints
- Ensure employees meet safety and compliance standards
- Partner with the District Manager to create and monitor budget and P&L results
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of waste collection, disposal, and recycling teams
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality
- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement
- Manage and train staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance
- Cook up and coordinate with other departments to optimize route planning and resource allocation
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Maintain detailed records of operations, including service logs, maintenance schedules, and compliance reports
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field preferred
Proven experience as an operations supervisor, preferably in the waste management or transportation industry
Strong knowledge of waste management practices and regulations
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Proficiency in using operational management software and other relevant computer applications
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Able to work independently and make decisions under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
Qualifications
Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish or Creole
