Operations Supervisor, Central Supply
Summary
Responsible for direct supervision of sterile processing staff and daily operational execution across assigned areas or shifts. Accountable for team performance, staffing, workflow management, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant sterile processing operations.

Essential Functions
- Supervises daily sterile processing operations, including staffing support, workflow oversight, scheduling, and operational coordination activities.
- Supports quality, safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance standards across sterile processing operations.
- Oversees workflow coordination between Sterile Processing, Operating Room staff, procedural areas, and external clinics as applicable to support procedural readiness and customer service expectations.
- Monitors and ensures team productivity and daily operational performance.
- Oversees inventory management activities to ensure availability and operational readiness.
- Coordinates instrument repair, maintenance, loaner instrumentation, and vendor support activities as applicable.
- Directly supervises staff, including performance management, coaching, and staffing decisions.
- Participates in departmental audits, quality initiatives, workflow improvement activities, and operational planning efforts.
- Supports timekeeping, staffing documentation, operational reporting, and other departmental administrative functions as assigned.
- Accountable for team performance, adherence to quality standards, and daily operational outcomes within the assigned area.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials: Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or C.S.P.D.T - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc required; Certified Instrument Specialist [CIS] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) preferred; Certified Endoscope Reprocessor [CER] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) preferred
Experience: Experience as a Central Sterile Technician 2-3 years required
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Strong patient/customer service skills.
- Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
- Knowledge of case cart assembly, strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the regulatory standards of materials management.
- Knowledge of sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and maintenance and care of instruments and equipment.
