Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take ownership of area’s performance including safety, quality, and productivity
- Hold team members accountable to standards
- Weekly presentations to management team regarding area performance
- Oversee end-to-end quality and shipping operations
- Defect resolution, compliance, documentation, logistics coordination, and cross-functional communication
- Data analysis to identify trends and predict maintenance needs
- Lead improvement events to increase productivity, minimize unsafe conditions, and reduce customer rejections
- Line setup and quality validations
- Participation in 8D and 5 Why meetings
- Identify and lead productivity projects to improve uptime and throughput
- Monitor attendance, vacation, and sick time
- Take disciplinary actions when necessary
- Maintain safety requirements and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with Scheduling and Maintenance departments
- Prepare and maintain monthly/daily reports
- Identify and propose capital improvement projects
- Aid in the training of new operators
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Compliance with safety rules and requirements
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality standards
- Strong mathematics skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years of formal education or equivalent experience and training
- Experience in Lean Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma Problem Solving desired
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Safety sensitive position
- Both office and manufacturing settings
- 75% of time spent on plant floor
- Minimal to moderate noise in office
- Moderate to high levels of noise in manufacturing setting
- Varying temperatures based on weather conditions
- May require personal protective equipment for safety compliance
