Operations Supervisor

About the role

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join a growing and dynamic team!

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and provide leadership to a large and diverse team of security personnel working at various client sites across Oahu.
• Effectively manage staff with challenging behaviors, providing coaching, disciplinary action, and performance reviews to ensure professional conduct and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with Human Resources on the hiring process, and oversee the onboarding and continuous field training of new and existing officers.
• Develop and maintain efficient and cost-effective schedules to ensure 24/7 client coverage, managing call-outs, time-off requests, and emergency shift fill-ins.
• Ensure all assigned sites are operating in strict accordance with the client’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contractual requirements.
• Conduct regular, unannounced site visits and inspections to verify guard performance, professional appearance, and adherence to company policies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, proactively addressing concerns, resolving service issues promptly, and ensuring high client satisfaction.
• Oversee the handling, investigation, and reporting of major incidents, ensuring timely and accurate communication to clients and senior management.
• Ensure 100% compliance with all State of Hawaii security guard licensing requirements, including the ACT 208 Guard Employee Registration Card (Guard Card) for all personnel.
• Review and approve all security reports, incident logs, and daily activity reports for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
• Monitor and manage labor costs and operational expenses for assigned accounts to meet budgetary goals.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Must possess or have the immediate ability to obtain a valid ACT 208 State of Hawaii Security Guard Employee Registration Card.
• Must have excellent common sense and sound judgment in high-stress and critical decision-making situations.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal), strong organizational skills, and proficiency in basic computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Must possess a reliable means of transportation and a valid driver's license to conduct site visits across Oahu.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a ACT208 security guard is required.
• 2 years of experience in management is required.
• A 2-year college degree is preferred.

Pay

$25 to $30/hour (Depending on experience)

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm
