About the role

The Operations Supervisor is a full-time position responsible for ensuring buildings and their components are manufactured and delivered according to safety and quality standards. This role organizes and leads building component production efficiently and profitably while maintaining a culture of safety. Responsibilities

  • Serves as a safety advocate, exhibiting constant awareness of safety requirements and promoting safe operations within the production area.
  • Provides direct supervision for hourly production employees, including scheduling work assignments, on-the-job training, and ensuring adherence to company policies, work instructions, and procedures. Implements disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Drives cost-effective manufacturing methods and procedures through a culture of lean to ensure production meets applicable standards and is completed in a timely manner while monitoring the budget and availability of materials and supplies.
  • Fosters a team-focused environment through collaboration with local management and other department supervisors, maintaining standard operating procedures and supporting plant and corporate objectives.
  • Supports talent management by participating in the assessment and selection of hourly production personnel and developing employees through cross-training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree or 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry, EEOC, and DOT regulations.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and promotes teamwork.
  • Aptitude for teaching and coaching employees.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven process improvement efforts and results.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent follow-through.
  • Dedicated to creating an environment focused on safety, quality, continual process improvement, and profitability.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
