About the role
SkyChefs is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage a team in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic setting, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper organization, staffing, and direction of the area of responsibility, meeting all delivery time targets
- Schedule and control staff to optimize labor productivity and manage overtime
- Maintain compliance with government regulatory agencies' standards, including but not limited to FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP, etc.
- Document and follow up on department processes to drive continuous improvement
- Maintain on-time and accurate production/catering of all flights while monitoring safety regulations
- Guide, motivate, and develop staff according to HR policies
- Manage productivity hours and costs, initiating corrective actions for deviations
- Participate in and support company-sponsored initiatives like Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and Production systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- One to three years of related work experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to develop and lead a team towards achieving productivity goals
- Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in supervisory roles
- Experience in food service operations and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

$68,338.70 - $85,423.59 annually
