Operations Supervisor
About the role
In this role, you will provide leadership and direction for a team of entry-level production employees to ensure customer demand is met. Coordinate production activities to support daily distribution requirements, including local delivery routes and shuttle operations. Lead reliability, compliance, quality, and safety initiatives to meet government and environmental regulations. Ensure team members are trained and committed to Linde Safety and Quality systems, coordinating training with the Compliance Manager. Monitor production outputs and staffing levels to maintain efficiency, anticipate problems, and develop contingency plans. Communicate and collaborate with first shift counterpart to ensure smooth operations and effective shift handoffs. Identify operational issues and lead improvement initiatives related to production processes, shift schedules, and training, reporting activities to plant management. Help oversee inventory levels, manage equipment and product quality issues, and support 5S and Lean Projects to reduce operating costs through Operational Excellence strategies.

Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED; bachelor degree preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an industrial plant environment with at least two (2) years of leading and developing a team
- Experience working in, and/or managing within a union environment is strongly preferred
