Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an energetic team of international logistics professionals
• Ensure successful delivery of import forwarding and brokerage services to customers
• Serve as primary supervision for import staff
• Key account processing; POA verification and new customer set up
• Oversee financial transactions
• Create monthly productivity and financial reports
• Guide the staff to create a sense of ownership of all accounts
• Foster and train the team in 'The Green Way'

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in import/export forwarding and/or customs brokerage with previous supervisory experience
• Supervise, train and direct work of Import and Export Specialists
• Assist with account start-up
• Liaison with sales to ensure required documentation/information needed for the SOP are provided
• After 3-4 shipments, account will be assigned a specialist
• Classify correct clearance of import/export shipments in compliance with CBP regulations, customs compliance and Green Way compliance
• Maintain compliance with estimate input, profit margin setting and timely invoicing
• Manage an even workload amongst specialists
• Run required reports including but not limited to shipment count, P&L, and Unbilled Files
• Attend outside training and industry functions to increase the size of your network
• Show strong knowledge of various transportation modes including air freight, LCL, FCL as well as knowledge of domestic trucking and rail movements
• Show excellent problem resolution and customer service skills
• Show ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines
• Show intermediate computer skills with a proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Show account management experience a plus
• Show strong analytical skills including ability to analyze numbers and attention to detail
• Show Customs Brokerage License a plus
