Operations Supervisor

About the role

Dohrn Transfer is seeking a Full Time Operations Supervisor at their Ankeny, IA Terminal. The position offers a competitive salary of $65,000/year, Monday through Friday from 11 PM to 9 AM, along with benefits such as health/vision/dental insurance, 401k matching, life insurance, short/long term disability, and more.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all employees and processes of the Terminal Operations team.
• Provide training, supervision, feedback, and discipline for hourly Operations team members.
• Manage the daily performance of the City Pickup and Delivery Operation for optimal safety, performance, on-time service, cost control, and claims prevention.
• Solve problems regarding lost and missing freight.
• Communicate efficiently with other departments to ensure a successful operation.
• Monitor Line Haul operation.
• Monitor Dock performance and efficiency and adjust manpower as needed.
• Report all facility problems to the Facility Maintenance Department.
• Comply with federal, state, and company regulations.
• Process all paperwork daily associated with the execution of the job.

Requirements

• A minimum age of 18.
• High School completion or equivalent.
• Valid Driver License.
• Supervisory experience required.
• The ability to work any shift.

Qualifications

• The knowledge and ability to perform all Operations jobs in the Terminal including Dock, Dispatch, Warehouse, and Routing.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
