About the team

Alexandria Logistics (AMZL) is responsible for delivering millions of products directly to customers' doors. The "Last-Mile-Logistics" delivers our packages in partnership with third-party providers and implements numerous initiatives to continuously improve, ensuring millions of customers are satisfied.

Our goal is to make the delivery experience for our customers as smooth as possible and introduce global delivery solutions for our latest offerings, including Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.

Our work can be divided into two categories. "Under the Roof" involves everything that happens within our logistics facilities, while "On the Road" covers what occurs in the delivery areas on the road. Our employees prepare packages for daily shipping to our delivery teams in various shifts (night, early, late), handle returns that cannot be delivered, and manage customer inquiries.

We set new standards annually regarding customer experience and offer new, innovative delivery services. We seek new ways to overcome industry-wide logistics challenges and new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint. We support ourselves with an innovative fleet of vehicles (including electric vehicles) and the most advanced technology.

Key job responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee workflow measurements, track site performance, and provide critical shift information to shift and department leaders for cross-shift operational excellence
• Support and train team members to achieve outstanding performance and oversee their daily tasks
• Support shift and department leaders with process improvement projects, fostering a safe working environment, and enhancing employee engagement
• Collaborate with other departments to find solutions for recurring problems or meet needs in key performance areas
• Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities for optimizing safety, quality, and productivity

A day in the life

As an Operations Supervisor, you work at one of our logistics facilities. You assist your shift and department leaders with the execution of the shift plan. You help prepare shift meetings with your team and oversee procedures and processes. This ensures that safety rules, quality assurance processes, and the priorities for the day are followed.

When issues are noticed, they are escalated to your manager. Occasionally, you may also act as a shift leader and provide necessary guidance to your team members to complete their tasks. When needed, you assist your shift and department leaders with shift planning and ensure that there are enough team members available during peak times.

Basic Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken German
• Experience with data analytics and its application to problem identification
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in stakeholder management, including building and maintaining professional relationships
• Experience working in a production environment, such as logistics, retail, hospitality, or customer service
• Advanced English proficiency

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
