About the role
This position is responsible for leading a team of Quality Inspectors and overseeing Quality Management Services, including tool calibration, CMM lab, and non-conforming processes. The role requires a strong presence on the shop floor, with a flexible schedule to accommodate various shifts and overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Quality Inspectors in a factory setting.
- Manage Quality Management Services, ensuring tool calibration, CMM lab operations, and non-conforming processes are effectively executed.
- Spend approximately 70% of time supporting the shop floor and 30% in the office.
- Cook up with the team to ensure quality standards are maintained and improved.
- Work closely with the hiring manager to determine exact shift hours and manage overtime requirements.
Qualifications
- A 4-year degree is strongly preferred, along with 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Candidates without a 4-year degree will be considered if they have demonstrated supervisory experience.
Skills
- Strong supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with quality processes and fundamentals.
- Flexibility with work and an ability to learn new things.
- Proficiency with computers, including Excel and Outlook.
- Willingness to work off-shift, overtime, and some weekends.
